A "little" About Me, so you'll know who I am....
My name is Cindi, and I’m a Mid-Life Baby-Boomer wife of over 30 years; mom of 2 grown daughters; and have 2 young grandchildren. I’m a native of New England, and live in an historic small town in Connecticut. My interests include Vintage Collectibles, shopping and of course, writing!
I started blogging to share my experiences as a WAHM, and have really grown to enjoy meeting new friends from all over the globe. Originally I had hoped to promote my eBiz through the blog, as well as to share information with my friends.
I'm the author of
Moomettesgram's Musings blog which covers e-commerce, Networking, eBiz, Bonanzle, Parenting and Grandparenting tips. My blog was recently voted and honored as Top 10 WAHM Blogs by Sparkplugging for 2008.
Additionally, I am the author of
Moomette's Magnificents Product Reviews, where I offer Product Reviews from the viewpoint of an experienced Baby Boomer Mom and Grandmom "who's been around the block."
As the author of
Moomette's Mama Mentor blog, I talk about the personal musings and observations of a Baby Boomer Grandmother from New England, transitioning into retirement and reinventing a second career as a WAHM. Reflections of the trials & tribulations of being a Wife, Mom, Grandmom, Mentor, Boutique eBiz owner & Bonanzle Booth seller. Family, Women's & Social Issues, Politics ~ Whatever comes to mind. Hot-Flashing at it's finest.
As a Freelance writer, I'm a Contributing Editor at
Roxy's Best of...Hartford (Connecticut) where I write about everything from restaurant and shopping to art, culture and kid stuff in the Nutmeg State!
I also Freelance and contribute to Associated Content, e-How and am a Squidoo Lensmaster.
You’ll also see that I am very passionate about the benefits of online education. After a 20-year break from when I first started college, I received my B.S. degree in Business Administration with a minor in Sociology from the University of the State of New York through accredited online studies while in my 40s. Afterwards, I then went on to complete another A.S. degree in Paralegal Studies, graduating Magna Cum Laude, all while working full-time and raising a family.
For over 30 years I have been in the professional field of Law in the capacity as a Paralegal as well as Legislative, Regulations and Research Analyst, in both the public and private sectors.
Taking my Paralegal Experience one step further, I have now established my website at CAM Virtual Assistant Services, and offer freelance Virtual Assistant Services for all your business and blogging needs. After being employed in the business community for many years as a Paralegal, I’m looking forward to retirement, being a Work-at-Home Grandma and sharing tips with all my fellow Baby Boomers on how to successfully transition from commuter to eBiz Mompreneur!
I started my online presence by selling on eBay and quickly became a Power Seller. Since closing it, I now sell on
BONANZLE at Moomette's Magnificents. My booth is pretty much eclectic focusing on New & EUC upscale clothing, Vintage Collectibles, Antiques, Dinnerware, Mugs, Sewing Patterns & more.
Expanding on that success, I’ve established Moomettes’ Magnificents Olde Towne Shoppes. Some of the fine Ye Older mercantile Shoppes you’ll find include … Artisan Hand-Crafted Knitted & Monogrammed Baby & Toddler Clothing, Sea Glass Candles, Handbags, Bead Jewelry, Note Cards & More. Many of our fine unique product offerings are handcrafted in the USA by exceptionally talented, “indie” cottage-industry Work-at-Home Moms. You’ll find unique gifts specifically chosen to reflect what New England is known for ~ it’s spectacular mountains and nautical maritime history.
Besides Twitter, you'll find me active in the social blogosphere, where I'm known as "Moomettesgram." I participate in social media networking groups such as Facebook, Twittermoms, Mom Bloggers Club, Mom Fuse, Moms United in Business and Blissfuly Domestic.
And there you have it! If you'd like,
