Welcome!

This is a new network started at the end of 2008. It was inspired by my Work at Home Grandmothers blog that has been active since September of 2007.

Please join us, I will approve your membership quickly.

Following are a few things that I hope will help you as you use the network. Links to the features mentioned can be found along the top of this, the "Main" page for our network, and your "My Page".

Your "My Page":
Each member has a "My Page" that lets us know all about you, you are in control of most of what is on the page. It is very similar to this, the "Main" page of our network, but is uniquely yours.

Latest Activity:
Whenever you do something on the network, wherever it might be, it will show under "Latest Activity" on your personal "My Page". You can delete any of the items listed by clicking the x to the right of them, or keep them as reminders to take action on something until they are no longer needed. They will stay there until you delete them.

Members:
You can see all members of the network when you click on "Members" along the top of the page, and members that are friends on your "My Page". You can invite members to be friends by clicking on their image or user name and inviting them using the appropriate link on their page.

Textbox:
I'm writing in our "Main" page textbox right now, you have one on your page that you can use to share anything you want, you may want to use this to introduce yourself and your business, but don't forget to also introduce yourself in the appropriate thread in the forum.

Messages:
You can leave comments for people publicly on their page, or you can "send a message" privately by clicking on "send a message" on a members page that you want to contact...these messages will go into the member's "inbox".

Photos:
Add pictures of your family, grandchildren, pets, or related to your business, whatever you like, on your "My Page". Click on the "Add Photos" link and follow the instructions.

Videos:
Add videos about your business, your family, etc., to your "My Page". Just click the "Add Videos" link and follow the instructions.

Chat:
You can chat from this "Main" page to the left, or you can click on "Chat" along the top to open up a bigger chat page. Feel free to say hello if there are more than one of you "online" on the network at the same time.

Forum:
Click on the "Forum" link along the top to see all of the topics of discussion, there are several, and please, jump right in. The most recent posts will show above under "Forum", but it to see everything, clicking on the "Forum" link above is best.

Events:
Do you have a special business event, radio program, or other special event that you would like to invite us to be a part of? Click on the "Events" feature along the top of the page and add your event.

Birthdays:
When you include your birthdate in your sign-up/profile information, it will show on this, the "Main Page" to the left on your birthday.

RSS:
There is not only RSS feed for this network, but an RSS feature on your page that you can use to add feed from a blog that you maintain. Click the appropriate link and add your blog title and url, and how may posts you would like to show on your page.

Work at Home Grandmothers Badge:
Please click on "Get More Badges" and add our badge to your blog or website to help promote our network.

Inbox, etc.:
You each have your own "inbox" for private messages.

As I discover other features and understand how they work, I will add them.
